Dont take it apart to clean the paste... instead you need to download smcfancontrol and turn up the fans when you are doing a lot of processing.

Yes take appart you macbook pro if overheating! No fan control can help if cooling fans air flow is blocked by lint!! If you fan is alway running than it has no air flow! Must be opened up and fans removed to see problem! Just some real good advise that I have seen.

Can of air always helpful to use on a regular basis to keep it clean...
